HAVE YOU COMMITTED THE UNPARDONABLE SIN?WHAT TO DO IF YOU FEAR YOU HAVE.

Updated: Jan 30, 2023

The Bible speaks of an unpardonable sin.

Jesus calls it the ONE iniquity that CANNOT BE FORGIVEN, in this life or the next life.

The unforgivable sin is blasphemy against God’s Holy Spirit.

What is unique about this blasphemy is the way the blasphemy is spoken:

It is to knowingly attribute the works of God to the works of the devil.

Before I show you where and how this is written, it should be noted that good Muslims will take this seriously, when quoting from the pages of the Bible. Allah said it both reliable, and it cannot be changed:

Quran 10:94 says, “And if you, Muhammed, are in doubt concerning that which We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book (that was) before thee.”

Quran 6:34 says, “There is none that can alter the Words (and Decrees) of God.”

Notice very carefully what the Prophet Jesus said, after one possessed with a demon was brought to Him in the Book of Matthew, chapter 12:22 - 31:

VERSE 22: Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

VERSE 23: And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

VERSE 24: But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

VERSE 25: And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

VERSE 26: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

VERSE 27: And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

VERSE 28: But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

VERSE 29: Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

VERSE 30: He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Notice in particular these words from the mouth of Jesus:

Verse 31: Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Three points to notice here:

  1. After witnessing a miracle of good, the Pharisees understood that it was good. Yet in verse 24 they knowingly proclaimed to the people that the devil had done this through the prophet Jesus. Therefore, in their jealousy, they insisted that the power that Jesus used was of the devil. They lied.

  1. Jesus identified the true power that was in Him: that of the Spirit of God (verse 28).

  1. Finally, notice exactly what Jesus says in verse 31: “All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men.” This does not mean that all men will be forgiven at the judgement; it means the God of the Bible is willing to forgive the repentant sinner of any sin, no matter how grievous…except one: “but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.” TO KNOWINGLY CALL GOD’S TRUTH A LIE IS TO COMMIT A SIN THAT WILL NOT BE FORGIVEN IN THIS LIFE, OR THE NEXT.

We cannot go to Hell if we are forgiven. God says what He means, and means what He says.

In like manner, we cannot be forgiven if we are eternally cursed. It is a fate that is sealed. In the same way we cannot carry yesterday into tomorrow, we cannot undo the words of God.

The peace and hope we have in this life are only as good as the word of God, not the whim of God. It is extremely important that you re-read that statement and think about it.

If God was a God of “whims” or “moods”, we would all go to Hell! If His holiness and purity were somehow consistent with a power to change His mind from day to day, and from person to person, we could NEVER be at peace with Him, and we could never have hope of salvation.

In the Quran, we read in Surah 14:4, “Allah misleads whom he wills and guides whom he wills.”

In the Bible, we read in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.”

We know that not all people come to repentance. In fact, most do not! The point here is that these are two very different statements, allegedly from the same God, quoted from two different sacred writings. The question must be asked, “Are these words from the same God? If they are not, are you still able to be pardoned, or are you not able to be pardoned? Can we conclude that a God Who is willing to mislead some is the same God Who desires ALL to come to repentance?

Before you answer, consider this point. I am going to speak plainly and honestly. I have been careful to quote the Holy Books and the Prophets, and let them speak for themselves:

The Holy Prophet said, “There is no difference between faith and infidelity except the omitting of prayer.

Do you pray 5 times per day, in Arabic? Is the prayer exactly word-perfect?

When you have missed those prayers unintentionally (there is your hope), have you corrected your mistake by praying the missed prayer 60 times, as decreed?

Have you lost track? If you have, your sin is ever before you, and according to the Quran, you must rely on the mood of Allah to receive forgiveness.

Are you pardonable? Or are you unpardonable?

The Bible says, Jesus came “to seek and to save sinners.” Luke 19:10 says this, and it is a verse of great hope, because it promises,

  • Jesus has the power to save sinners from Hell.

  • Jesus is seeking for you - you are a sinner, and so am I. “Seek” means He wants you to come forward.

  • Jesus is seeking you, not so He can damn you, but so He can rescue from damnation.

According to the Bible, you are pardonable if you have never blasphemed His Holy Spirit (making the claim that the works of the Holy Spirit were actually the works of the devil.)

Why would you hope in a religion that clearly states it is almost IMPOSSIBLE for you to go to Heaven…yet, you would doubt a Savior Who made a way for you to be forgiven?

Would you like to be pardoned, my friend? TRUELY pardoned? It is within reach, right now. Please view the seven videos on our home page; they introduce you to the TRUE Jesus…we welcome you to contact us for any reason. We do this because Christ loved us, and He loves you, too.
