HOW SMART ARE YOU? Can you spot the FAKE ONE?

Updated: Jan 16, 2023

Actually, THIS one is real: he is a performance artist in a town square in Prague, Czechoslovakia. This man poses motionless for hours at a time, impersonating a sculpture.

Fake people and fake news are everywhere. So is fake money. Here is a neat trick bank tellers use to spot fake money:

Bank Tellers are trained to spot counterfeit currency by handling REAL money, several hours a day, every day.

Their hands get so used to the FEEL of real bank notes, when they touch fake paper, a skilled bank teller instantly knows when it is fake…even if it LOOKS like the real thing.

The same with people and their beliefs. YOU know a genuine PERSON by spending time with him. Sooner or later, you see his heart.

It’s EASY to spot a fake Christian, too. Often, they look fake. Pop music stars, Hollywood actors, American politicians and celebrities often wear crosses around their necks…but the lives they live, the clothes they wear and the words they say reflect horribly on who they really are.

Interestingly, Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew says this in Chapter 7, verses 16 through 20:

“Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

Jesus taught that there are FAKE Christians, and there are REAL Christians.

If your world only shows you fake Christians…those are the only kind you know. You have very limited knowledge.

But REAL Christians know the Bible. They know that they are sinners, no better than anyone else.

The only difference is, they believe they are forgiven. They believe ANY Muslim can be forgiven, too. Are they right?

The Bible holds a truth that real money cannot buy. Register for our FREE Bible study, below. Your information will NOT be shared.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Here is an interesting fact: Article 3 of the Moroccan constitution “guarantees to all the free exercise of Beliefs,” YET, Article 220 of the Moroccan Penal Code, "anyone who employs incitements to shake the faith of a Muslim or to convert him to another religion" incurs a sentence of three to six months' imprisonment and a fine of 200 to 500 dirhams.

These laws suggest that a religious belief is not a living, breathing thing - it is instead a piece of property that is passed on from generation to generation, something that stays inside its own property lines, where it cannot trespass on someone else’s life.

Yet, Jesus Christ challenges this concept by offering truth, AND freedom to all: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

What TRUELY Is Christianity?

Firstly, it is NOT the worship of a father, a mother and a son.

Christianity is NOT the Catholic Church, which departs greatly from the Christianity of the Bible.

Instead, Biblical Christianity adheres to the fundamentals of the Christian faith, as found in the Bible:

1) The Tri-unity of God: the one God exists eternally in three Persons (see accompanying article on the Trinity, below).

2) Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God. His death was the substitutionary sacrifice for sinners, and He rose again bodily.

3) Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

4) The sixty-six books of the Bible are God’s Word, inspired, inerrant, and sufficient for living a godly life.

5) Jesus Christ is coming again to judge sin and rule the world.

Much of that will offend a Muslim reflexively. But if your faith is unshakable, you may be curious why a Bible-believing Christian would believe such things. Here is a wonderful encapsulation of the definition of Christianity, as stated by gotquestions.org:

“Christianity teaches that in order to be saved and be granted entrance into heaven after death, one must place one’s faith entirely in the finished work of Christ on the cross. According to Christianity, salvation is freedom from the old sin nature and freedom to pursue a right relationship with God. Where we were once slaves to sin, we are now slaves to Christ. As long as believers live on this earth in their sinful bodies, they will engage in a constant struggle with sin. However, Christians can have victory in the struggle with sin by studying and applying God’s Word in their lives and being controlled by the Holy Spirit—that is, submitting to the Spirit’s leading in everyday circumstances.

So, while many religious systems require that a person do or not do certain things, Christianity is about believing that Christ died on the cross as payment for our own sins and rose again. Our sin debt is paid and we can have fellowship with God. We can have victory over our sin nature and walk in fellowship and obedience with God. That is true biblical Christianity.”
